Wordpress hari ini (10 Julai 2009) telah mereleasekan versi stabilnya yang terkini iaitu 2.8.1.
WordPress 2.8.1 fixes many bugs and tightens security for plugin administration pages. Core Security Technologies notified us that admin pages added by certain plugins could be viewed by unprivileged users, resulting in information being leaked. Not all plugins are vulnerable to this problem, but we advise upgrading to 2.8.1 to be safe.
What else is new since 2.8? Read through the highlights below, or view all changes since 2.8
- Certain themes were calling get_categories() in such a way that it would fail in 2.8. 2.8.1 works around this so these themes won’t have to change.
- Dashboard memory usage is reduced. Some people were running out of memory when loading the dashboard, resulting in an incomplete page.
- The automatic upgrade no longer accidentally deletes files when cleaning up from a failed upgrade.
- A problem where the rich text editor wasn’t being loaded due to compression issues has been worked around.
- Extra security has been put in place to better protect you from plugins that do not do explicit permission checks.
- Translation of role names fixed.
- wp_page_menu() defaults to sorting by the user specified menu order rather than the page title.
- Upload error messages are now correctly reported.
- Autosave error experienced by some IE users is fixed.
- Styling glitch in the plugin editor fixed.
- SSH2 filesystem requirements updated.
- Switched back to curl as the default transport.
- Updated the translation library to avoid a problem with mbstring.func_overload.
- Stricter inline style sanitization.
- Stricter menu security.
- Disabled code highlighting due to browser incompatibilities.
- RTL layout fixes.
Terdapat beberapa isu-isu ralat yang telah dibaikpulih dalam versi terkini Wordpress. Tetapi malangnya, terdapat satu kemudahan dinyahgunakan kerana ketidaksesuaian dalam pelbagai browser iaitu Codepress.
Codepress sebelum ini hanya berfungsi pada browser Firefox sahaja. Hurmmm.. nak upgrade tak eyh? hehehe..
Kalau korang nak upgrade.. macam biasalah..

Rasanya ada masalah kat database kot.. mcm yg berlaku kat sy skrg ni.. blog seakan patah balik ke masa belakang.. post terkini semua hilang.. tetapi sekejap je.. lepas tu blog kembali smula ke masa skrg.. kalau terjadi camtu, setiap apa yang kita wat.. tak kira post ke komen ke maybe x kan muncul rasanya bila blog balik ke real time… saya pun x pasti apa puncanya.. berkemungkinan server..
bukan masa tuka theme.. theme sblum nie lagi teruk post kat widget x muncul kat main page..pas2 chnge new theme yg skrg nie, mslah die lak ttbe akan auto delete all post kat widget lepas click refresh button tuk nak add post baru kat widget..maksudnya i x leh post byk kat widget..kalau nak post gak ikut nasib..nasib x baik akan auto delete..server? dh tanya netkl dorang pun x tau knape..kne chnge theme lagi ke test akan ilang lagi ke x
erm… berdasarkan pengalaman sy..
berkemungkinan masalah ini ada kaitan dengan theme..
error yang awk maksudkan cuma kat widget je kan?
widget mean just on sidebar area right?
camne eyk? urm…
ini ikut yang saya faham dari penerangan awk..
maybe yang menyebabkan widget hilang (mungkin tidak hilang sebenarnya) disebabkan column theme tersebut..
kadang² ada theme yg guna 2 sidebar, kadang² just 1 je..
so kalau kite tambah widget kat theme yang mempunyai 2 sidebar..
then bile kita tukar theme yg mempunyai 1 sidebar..
maybe widget di salah satu sidebar yang kite letak tu akan hilang..
untuk wordpress 2.8 telah disediakan skali ruang “Inactive Widgets” (Drag widgets here to remove them from the sidebar but keep their settings.)
so kalau nak tukar theme.. kita perlu heret widget² yang tersedia ke dalam ruang itu sblm menukar theme bagi mengelak widget hilang..
setelah menukar theme.. kita bole kembali meletakkan widget dengan mengheret semula ke ruang sidebar..
ok.. fara try cuba theme baru.. kalau ade pape yang x kene inform kat saya ye?
